Why I wear a bikini when I get bored....

Come on, don't we all? I do because no one else will put on a bikini and let me take pictures of them at 9 o'clock at night. And I'm hoping if I do pictures in a swimsuit it will magically become 90 degrees outside...nope still cold? Oh well.

Anyway, there is another reason. I've been wanting to do pictures with someone who isn't afraid of their stretch marks. Again, not a lot of takers. So I volunteered myself? I'm starting to sound crazy and lonely....That's not the point. I have a love/hate relationship with mine. I try to take care of myself and I'm pretty comfortable with the way my body looks. My wonderful amazing son gave me my stretch marks, so I love them. And I'm not 100% sure why I hate them. I think every women is programmed to think they are ugly or gross but they aren't. To me they are just there, something that I can't change so I guess I'll just accept them and wear a bikini.

Now, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with editing a persons body. I actually love it. My thoughts are that the camera sees what everyone else usually doesn't. I like to edit to show you what everyone usually sees. I'm just trying to say that we shouldn't worry about the parts of us that we can't change. Embrace who you are and what you look like.

So there you go.

And yes, there was a costume change...I've already bought two bikinis so come on warm weather!
And these pictures are edited (I love editing), I just didn't edit out the stretch marks.

March!?

Yep it's March finally. I've been a little MIA when it come to blogging because my laptop decided that it no longer wanted to be awesome. Little guy quick working on me. I'm lucky I have a great and wonderfully nerdy husband that has an amazing computer that I can use but I'm unlucky in that I don't know any passwords to anything including my blog. So I tried to change this password (everything was in German) and just became successful today...sigh. So now I get to show you some pretty cute pictures.

First is a maternity shoot that I'm pretty proud of. I never looked very cute while I was pregnant so when I get to photograph really cute pregnant girls I automatically think that they must have had some kind of wizard that made them look good...kidding....but seriously...

I've done a few other shoots since but they are all on my laptop :(

So here are some of the pictures from yesterday's newborn shoot. I loved it!

100 Awesome People Later....

So I started this blog a few months ago when I got 300 people who liked my facebook page (bear with me, I'm gonna talk about facebook for a minute because I'm lame like that) and now I have 407. Facebook has actually played a huge part in why I'm approving and even getting the chance to do what I do. Of course I have word of mouth (which has really played the biggest part) but it all started with my page. It's helped me stay connected and it has helped me get my pictures out there...you know in the world...hmm I'm rambling. Anyway. I'm pretty shocked that anywhere near 400 people can hear LynzMarie Photography and go, "Oh yeah, I've seen her pictures." That kinda blows my mind. And you know some are even bound to say, "Oh yeah, her pictures are pretty good." Come on that is pretty cool! Anyway this is kinda my thank you to all of those people!

Anyway, I thought I would also share that I've started my photography cert. from New York Institute of Photography. Whoa! Go me! I'm liking it so far and thank God I can go at my own pace. I'm very excited about it and have already learn some new stuff. I'll be sharing more on this later on. For now though I've been taking pictures like a crazy person for the past couple of days and now I have to edit like a crazy person.

 Here are some pictures....

*whistles*

Lately I've not gotten a chance to show off my boudoir pictures. I have no bad feelings towards anyone who says that I can't share their pictures, I completely understand, but it does make it hard to show what I'm capable of. So I did a free shoot with hair and make-up so that I could use the pictures. I also wanted to come up with some creative boudoir ideas. I didn't get to use all of them but we plan on doing this again.

Anyway, these two girls did amazing! And my hair/make-up artist did so great making these girls look even more beautiful than they already are. So here you go:

This is the oh so pretty Azure*. I've actually done the ACU top a bunch of times since everyone I do pictures for are military wives but I haven't got to share any of them.

And this is the very doll face Malorie. I did a "nerdy" session with her. I love themes! But I lacked books...I still think it turned out pretty cute. I like personal shoots. I want to find a wife with a XBOX obsessed husband (and let's face it, there are plenty of those) and do a cute XBOX themed session.

I can't really take credit for this set up. Azure and Shamila thought this would be cute and they were right.

I love the way the blue in her hair looks in this picture.

Can I just brag about the fact that she's pregnant? Wow!

Stunning! Her eyes are so freaking pretty! I love big eyes.

And now my favorites:
I'm not a huge black and white fanatic (I mean I love it but I also really love color) but both of these just looked so much better in black and white.

Elvgren once described his ideal model as having a fifteen-year-old-face on a
twenty-year-old-body.*

I think that is the best way to describe Malorie's look.
I love Gil Elvgren and even though this isn't a classic kind of pin-up this picture embodies a different era for me.
Oh, and those are my shoes she has on. I've worn them once and I know they are killers! So she was a total trooper.

My number one photographer that I LOVE (I don't think I can stress how much I love her) is Ellen Von Unwerth. I use to obsess over her Guess ads in Vogue when I was growing up. They were always sexy in such a cool way. But every picture she takes is just so amazing and perfect.
So this is my Ellen Von Unwerth inspired picture. And Azure has that sexy but cool model kind of look to her.

Thank  you so much to these women! I appreciate you letting me use these pictures.

And a HUGE thank you to Shamila Mote! You did so great!

Ready for it!

Who's the worst blogger ever? This girl (....I'm pointing to myself). I've been busy and slightly unmotivated (to blog, not in general) and I have a million other excuses. But I've done a few really awesome shoots! So go me! I've also gotten approved for school, I start sometime in the next two weeks! I'm so excited to learn, I know. But really I want to learn anything and everything about photography so I can feel like a real photographer. And I'm also kinda a huge nerd and I love school. LAME, I know. Anyway here a few shoots I've done and some words about them...

I did some maternity pictures right after Christmas. It kinda made me miss being outside...I love doing maternity inside because it is intimate. But I also like to have some with the sun and pretty fields....

Awe toddlers. They hate pictures. But this little girl is so pretty.

Parents are so much easier. They usually do what you tell them. I loved the bright colors they all wore.

My kid of course...I'm doing Valentine's mini-sessions this year. I made him model for me.

This is the face he made when I told him to be handsome.

I modeled for myself also. I'm learning more about editing. I like it a lot for some reason.

This was my second time photographing this mother and daughter. They are so easy to take pictures of; not only are they super pretty but this little girl is so great in front of the camera.

She could really model.

I also did a couple of Valentine's pictures with her friend too. Aren't they cute?

I love baby smiles!

FINALLY! My first shoot outside in months. It was crazy cold but they were all troopers. I think this is my favorite shoot I've ever done. It was a homecoming at the train station with a vintage-y feel to it. I love doing pictures with a story. I think that is what I want to build my business on.

Her eyes!

Sister love ♥

Here comes the train. I was excited for them.

I'm so glad I get to photograph these moments.

I also did a couple of boudoir shoots in between these but I can't put them up. I'm in the process of setting up a boudoir shoot with a whole bunch of different looks and themes that I can put up so stay tuned....I also did a great family's pictures but it's loading...boo...anyway. That's all for now.
